SS&C Celebrates Black Diamond Wealth Platform 1,000 Client Milestone
More than 1,000 advisory firms have chosen Black Diamond to improve the client experience, drive operational efficiencies, and grow with scale.
WINDSOR, CT, April 6, 2017 (PR NEWSWIRE) – SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSNC), a global provider of financial services software and software-enabled services, today announced the Black Diamond® Wealth Platform has eclipsed 1,000 firms using the technology and outsourced service.
The 1,000 plus firms, which advise on more than $600 billion in assets, have chosen Black Diamond as their technology solution for comprehensive portfolio management, reporting, rebalancing, outsourced reconciliation, and client communication. More than 240 of those clients signed on in 2016 alone. Black Diamond now manages the data of more than one million accounts.
Notable additions of marquee names from the advisory community include Diversified Trust Co., Mason Investment Advisory Services, Inc., and Nations Financial Group. These firms selected Black Diamond to help strengthen their client relationships, reduce their back-office overhead, and drive efficiency and productivity.
“Diversified Trust selected Black Diamond for its innovative wealth management platform,” said Doug Turner, Principal and Director of Operations at Diversified Trust, a comprehensive wealth management firm based in the Southeast. “The sophisticated technology will allow us to optimize our operations and strengthen our client relationships. Black Diamond’s depth of expertise, knowledge of our industry, and vision for future innovation will support our firm as it continues to grow.”
The recent surge in interest and implementation of Black Diamond highlights the need within the RIA industry for technology that can serve firms offering comprehensive wealth management.
“SS&C aspires to provide the best combination of technology and service to our clients. We are proud to have served the advisory community for over 30 years,” said Dave Welling, Managing Director and Co-General Manager SS&C Advent. “We understand that advisors are dealing with a fast-changing landscape –from demographics to regulatory to financial technology. Black Diamond provides the technology and tools advisors need to manage the complete wealth picture for clients. Replacing existing systems is a major decision, especially core portfolio management and accounting platforms. We are honored when firms choose Black Diamond to be the platform for growth.”
SS&C is executing on an aggressive roadmap for Black Diamond in 2017, namely focusing on enhancing and mobilizing conversations with clients, and providing features and tools that help advisors scale and gain time. Along with product investment, SS&C is also investing in its people.
Since the announcement of SS&C’s plans to acquire Advent in February 2015, nearly 50% more staff has been added in areas most important to advisors – implementation, service, operations, and product development. This has led to a sizable expansion of talent in Jacksonville, Florida. With Black Diamond, advisors have a single-point-of-contact client advocate who is accountable for the advisor’s success.
