RSS makes it quick and easy for people to stay on top of their favorite web content and news stories. Instead of having to visit a website on a regular basis, the updates will show up in one application for instant access.
What is RSS?
According to Wikipedia, Really Simple Syndication
(RSS), "is a family of Web feeds formats used to publish frequently updated
content such as blog entries, news headlines, and podcasts in a standardized
format." Any information that is able to be broken down into discrete items can
be transmitted through RSS and an RSS-aware program in a web-browser checks the
feed for regular updates.
To get started, simply download
and install a feed reader, add your desired RSS feed and watch for updates!
