Getting in sync with Syncova

SS&C Advent’s Syncova margin and financing management platform just celebrated a decade of service. Originally conceived as a tool for calculating and replicating prime broker house margin requirements, Syncova has evolved into an indispensable solution for collateral management and cost control in a multi-prime environment, used by both buy- and sell-side firms.

In a recent webinar, we explored Syncova’s many features and looked at the different ways in which firms are using the solution. Built around a flexible and configurable calculation engine, Syncova gives fund managers total transparency into their margin, financing and stock loan commitments and costs. With the ability to collect, aggregate and normalize multiple prime broker margin statements, it enables managers to perform side-by-side comparisons of different brokers’ terms and charges, in order to make better informed decisions about where to place their trades and how to optimize collateral.

The highlight of the webinar is a demo of Syncova’s newest feature, the Treasury Portal. This is a web-based portal layered on top of the Syncova engine that makes it easy to access meaningful margin and financing data and slice-and-dice it from different angles. The portal provides dashboard views of exposures, financing costs and margin commitments by a variety of criteria, with both data and graph views as well as deep drill-down capabilities. It also includes a comprehensive library of standard reports, as well as a flexible query builder for creating specialized reports.

Syncova is available in a range of deployment options: as an on-premise software installation, cloud-delivered by SS&C Advent, or as part of our Middle Office Treasury Services offering, which includes a menu of outsourced operational services and daily prime broker reconciliation. The solution comes with a standard pre-built integration with our Geneva® fund management platform, but can also be integrated with third-party accounting systems.

The webinar is only 30 minutes and provides a comprehensive introduction to Syncova’s capabilities.
