CECL Preparation (Part I): Operational Considerations for Success

CECL is here! Over the next few years much time will be devoted to implementing the standard. Institutions will have to address challenges around data and processes, generating loss estimates, and analytics and disclosures. This is the first in a series of three webinars devoted to these areas.

Once the standard becomes effective, the CECL reserving process is something that your institution will have to perform every period into the foreseeable future. In order to be successful, you should begin with the end in mind. Before a project is created to implement the new standard, first define a successful long term process. In this webinar, industry experts discuss process considerations and best practices to help you formulate a long term vision for performing CECL at your institution. This vision will provide the foundation for defining your project roadmap and criteria for success. We will examine all aspects of the on-going CECL reserving process, including data, loss estimations, accounting entry generation, analytics, disclosures and results.
