Delegate Oversight Compliance

Manage Third-Party Risk

As health organizations expand their third-party delegated landscape, numerous risk factors are exposed with each relationship.  Operational, financial, technical, and legal risk are all inherent when outsourcing functions, underscoring the need to identify and neutralize these threats.

Thus, delegate oversight is a critical component to an overall compliance program. Although delegating authority to perform services, organizations still hold responsibility for the compliance of that service. Any outsourced activity must comply with:

  • Regulations, requirements, and/or standards set forth by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
  • Any other applicable federal or state regulatory authority
